i am obsessed with my iphone. i love it. the best thing about it is that i can take moment to moment pictures of lucia (and anything else that catches my fancy) and just simply upload them to our tmblr site, or email them to family. no more extensive downloading-organizing-uploading onto iphoto and my site for her. so instantaneous. i adore it, because i'm extraordinarily lazy.

found this photo the other day while working and loved it. makes me look forward to summer vacation. odd that this is someone else's family, but somehow mine now, too. it also reminds me of one of the times my family went camping in Yosemite, and this kid threw a rock at me. i was playing in the creek, basically just like these kids. it smashed my head open and i just remember blood pouring into the river. i probably should have gone to the emergency room...but no. i wonder if i still have a scar on my head.

this is my husband in new zealand. he loves skipping stones.

today found this woman on etsy. a drawing a day, and they are wonderful, spare and profound.

how quickly things change

it's so easy to forget how quickly things change. two months go by and the wheel turns. contentment not angst.

interesting me now...

obsessed with the photography of cig harvey.

my writing class assignment for "absence of field". love my teacher, renowned l.a. poet jack grapes. a brilliant teacher. here is one of my absence of field poems. think a word version of jackson pollack, impression not literal, and not necessarily that good, either! fun to spit words out on a page without thinking about what they mean.
